People who live in Los Angeles- and Orange County are so lucky!!!!
OMG I've been there once and it's so F**** gorgeous with the mountains, palm trees, beaches, and huge roads!!!! OMG it's so beautiful.
I wish I lived there!!!!!!!!!!!! CALI FOR EVER!!!!!

One thing I didn't like was that it's too little precipitation and the daylight is a little bit short during the summer. Sunset at 8 pm is to early, 8.30 would be better!!

It is beautiful huh? Especially for those of us who have lived in NJ/NY, there is really nothing to compare, a trip to the Shore or the Poconos just doesn't do it, once you have seen SoCal.

I was just agreeing with you. I used to live in NYC after moving from Long Beach, CA to NYC I started to really understand just how beautiful SoCal is. Taxes and COL suck in both places, you should just move to L.A. if you like it.

I think L.A is not just the San Fernando Valley,Westwood,S.M, there is also the San Gabriel Valley,It's really different. If you ever come down this way you will see the difference. There is Monterey Park all the way to Rancho Cucamonga.

Hey Mattias! Another Bergen County resident who is smitten with LA here. I totally agree with you, it has every GOOD thing our area has to offer and thensome, but less of the bad. There is no harsh climate, less traffic AND pollution (NJ's soil and water pollution is disgusting and don't get me started on how smoggy our air was this past summer), and the beaches are nicer than the Jersey shore and are pleasant to be on for more than just the 3 summer months. Southern California has earthquakes and wildfires, but we have hurricanes and blizzards- a wash.

Alas, I'm just going to have to wait until I finish college and get a career going before I move. I've tried transferring to the UC and Calstate systems but to no avail. At least I have a solid plan with a friend who's in Oakland (CA) to go there together by 2013 at the latest. On the bright side, the revitalized downtown should be coming along great by then!
