It's Too Cold and Windy
I miss the good old days when it was warm. Now it's cold and the wind will probably knock power out in various places and there will be news stories about it, with some regular joe saying, "That there wind was like all blowin' and then the power went off so I needed candles and it totally sucked dude....blah blah blah."

I can't wait. In Georgia we used to have these beautiful autumns. Seems like they disappeared somehow. Started going from hot to cold with maybe two great weeks of fall in between. I'm hoping that winter out here is like the fall I grew up with in the SE. I love jacket weather. Nice and cozy feeling.
Is there anything in LA similar to the leaves changing colors like back east?

ha ! that was just a little wind last night ! If anyone lives in the Foothills knows how windy it gets around January-ish. 75mph winds are about the norm here around then and the power doesnt even go out ! last night was NOTHING...

Very nice change in the weather: windy & cool. First night below 60F since early June signals that summer is coming to an end. But as we all know, October is often quite warm & next week with usher in our first 'santa ana' of the season with hot temps & wind. So enjoy the next few days while it lasts!

I get sick of the same old same old. Last night it dipped to 42 degrees in this valley, and the smell of wood smoke was in the air, instead of the usual, which is diesel smoke. Bring it on, my A/C needs a break.
