Default Considering moving to Norwalk, CA

Hello everyone,

I am considering purchasing a property in Norwalk south of Alondra on 165th street between Pioneer blvd, and Norwalk Blvd. does anyone live there or near by? Would anyone have any idea of how that neighborhood is? I know it is south of the one ways, and I know that area isnt that great but is south of alondra a little better? Hope someone responds! thanks

you can buy norwalk, just go in to some of the better areas such as by the cerritos border on bloomfield, and the area of the city hall and the area of the bowling alley. norwalk is not going downhill as i lived there for almost ten years, but like all cities, it has its rough parts. i lived in a rough area so i now the difference of neighborhoods. the area you want to buy in is a rough area infested with blood members, but you cant escape gangs almost anywhere in the area. norwalk even has pinoy real, an asian gang. but most gangs are pretty much peaceful and do their own thing.

Steer clear of that area. Yes it's not as bad as the 1ways, but it is not a place I would want to live in.

Hi,

I'm considering moving on Downey, off of imperial hwy and woodruff. It's near Highway exits 605 and 105. What do you say about the safety of that area?

Hey I live near this area, been here since 2009. Honestly I don't feel 'unsafe' here. You can get robbed in Beverly Hills(I graduated from BHHS btw). I've gone jogging at 10PM and haven't had any problems. Downey is a hidden gem. It's close to everything but since NASA left in 1999 things have gotten bad but the area is turning around with downey landing and new developments in the area. City got overshadowed by more established cities like cerritos. Starting this year they're going to start construction on current downey studios lot called Tierra Luna. It's suppose to have 16 screen theater, hotel, medical offices, and bunch of shops.

That area for the most part is real safe. The only rift raft tends to be in the apartment complexes on Imperial between Woodruff and Bellflower Blvd. Nothing to be too concerned about.

I agree, those older apt complexes lol. Fortunately I haven't ran into any issues here. Newer apts near the bridge is nice though.
