I've been in LA my entire life and have never heard of any Puerto Rican or Irish neighborhoods. I also disagree with BriInSM about a sizeable UK/Irish population in Santa Monica - there isnt. There is just Ye Old Kings Head Pub there and the very few UK/Irish folks you find there are tourists

Chinese in the San Gabriel Valley, not just monterey park,it's rowland heights, hacienda heights, alhambra, rosemead, arcadia, san marino and more...

Ye Olde King's Head is in the Promenade area, and it isn't even the only pub in the tourist belt (Main Street has a couple). There are also a few away from the tourist areas of SM in the neighborhoods. Plenty of Brits in SM and Venice. (The hipster list also forgot to mention Venice, although the hipsters are being priced out just like they're being priced out of Los Feliz and even Silver Lake. Longtime Silver Lake residents are now calling their neighborhood "East Brentwood" to reflect the changes - it's NOT a compliment.)
Also, if all the Persians in L.A. are Jews, than who goes to the Shia mosque in Palms? There are a considerable number of South Asians in Palms (I used to live there so I'm familiar with "Pakifornia") but presumably SOME of the worshippers there are from Iran as well as India and Pakistan.
Culver City's extremely ethnically diverse with a little of everything, although economically pretty solidly middle class (other than the poorer mostly Latino and Asian western part of Culver City and the very affluent mostly African American southern part of Culver City). If current population trends keep up, however, Culver City will eventually be mostly Asian at some point in time. (I lived there until not long ago, and I don't hesitate to recommend it.)
As for "Not Latino, Not Asian, Not Jewish" white, I'd say Pacific Palisades, Santa Monica, and the South Bay beach cities, and that's pretty much it. Maybe some places in the far West Valley, perhaps, but I'm not familiar with that area. Charles could say more about that area than I could.

Mexican culture and spanish are the main culture of Los Angeles. The city has more illegal immigrants than anywhere else.Get used to alot of taco trucks if you move here as well as whole areas where English is a foreign language.A culture of poverty and a hand out mentality also exist in the inner city areas

I love the diversity of LA. The only US that exceeds LA's diversity is NYC, obviously. I only wish LA's ethnic communities were a little closer together. I loved San Francisco where you could go from eating dim sum and walking past hanging roast ducks in Chinatown, to sipping a cappuccino in North Beach, all within a few blocks' walk.

Dont know I havent been there. Have you? They may not be Persian. They could be Assyrian, Jordanian, Egyptian or from some other country. I have a lot of friends who are Persian and even they say that the overwhelming majority of Persians in LA are indeed Jewish.
My students, my neighbors, my close friends, all Persian Jews.

There's more than one Persian/Iranian community in LA you know. I wouldn't extrapolate the individual people you know from that background in your area of town to the entire population.

Well, I know quite a few. They are from:
Sherman Oaks
Encino
Woodland Hills
Beverly Hills
Glendale
Burbank
Tarzana
Calabasas
I know its only a small sampling of areas though.
