Default El Segundo - Bike ride to work?

I'm getting stationed at Los Angeles AFB next year, and I want to get an idea how likely it will be I can ride my bike (bicycle) to work?

I'll be living in El Segundo, and I'm not expecting to have more than a 3 mile ride one way. The portion of my ride I'm concerned about is El Segundo Blvd, which I would have to take to work located a block west of the 405.
I've been commuting 5 miles to work now everyday for a year and share traffic quite well, but Dayton isn't LA. I know some parts of the west coast are bike friendly, I'm just not sure where El Segundo stands?

You will be fine. El Segundo Blvd. is 3 lanes and, I believe, there are sidewalks the entire way east of Sepulveda and there are no visual impairments.
