Attention Prop 8 Protestors: Thanks For the Added Gridlock
Thanks for having your little protests during a weekday, during rush hour. How remarkably thoughtful. I guess you people believe traffic moves too quickly on the Westside, so hey, it won't inconvenience anybody by having your little sit-in's and so fourth. Thanks for that.
BTW, I'm voting affirmatively for any future anti-gay propositions, since you people don't seem to understand the fundamentals of common consideration -- perhaps you people need to be humbled before we allot you any extra privileges. So take that then. Two can play at that game (no pun intended).

That's a little condescending don't you think? What would you do if you felt your civil and constitutional rights were being denied? How dare they tie up traffic a little while to bring attention to what they perceive to be a fundamental injustice. Even if you disagree with them you don't think you are superior do you?
I am sure I am misunderstanding the part where you assume dominion over others and allot human rights to those you so choose.
And what better way to strike back than to preemptively disagree in the interest of spite.
Just saying....

Without a doubt it was unnecessary and completely inconsiderate. That's what happens when the herd mentality of human beings takes over. Any sense of reason or responsibility are forgotten.
My girlfriend got caught in it. She said they sat on the bus for about 45 minutes waiting for the police to clear the roads and let traffic move again. She lives 20 miles from work. It took her two and a half hours to get home.

I think they believed that if people had to sit in traffic, we would change our minds and call our representatives and tell them we changed our minds and change our vote to No on 8.
Pissing people off is a GREAT way to get people to see your point of view.

Although I am a staunch "No on 8" supporter, I'm sorry those protesters caused such a traffic nightmare. I've never understood why people think that such an action would engender any sympathy to their cause. I realize they're angry and upset, but when they tie up traffic they tie it up for everyone, including people who might have actually voted "no" on Prop. 8!

If they're that upset, they can move to Mass.

Isn't that taking things a little far? I'm sure there are many people who voted "no" on 8 (me, for example!) who weren't a part of that protest. Think of the millions of committed, monogamous gay and lesbian relationships that you'd be hurting. This goes beyond being trapped in traffic for two hours.

Don't feel bad folks, we're having a big rally in Palm Springs today, but we've had all these smaller protests going on since a few days ago.
