Ok so I use to live in Hollywood for comedy, but I had to come back to Ga for a while. Now im going back to Hollywood around Feb., do you guys know of a place not far from Hollywood where the pollution is lower?

I have a theory that pollution causes hair loss as crazy as it may seem, but when I lived out there for a while I noticed hair loss. So im wondering whats the best location to live thats not far from Hollywood thats not quite as polluted.

Im talking not far too...like 20 mins away if possible. Thanks

It seems to me there's less pollution closer to the coast and more smog inland; try West LA.

There is usually less smog in West LA, Santa Monica, Brentwood, Pacific Palasades, Venice, Marina Del Ray, Palms, Culver City, Playa Del Rey, and Mar Vista. (Apologies if I left out any districts.)

Too pricey, after all he's a comedian. I'll say the South Bay area like Long Beach or Torrance.

It is a known fact that they closer you are to the water the less pollution there is.

Those cities aren't very close to Hollywood. I do like those cities though.

Don't worry about the smog. Just pick up a toupee and head back to Hollywood.

Good luck with that. I use to look far off the coast of Venice/Santa Monica on many days and see the sickly yellow haze extending far out over the water. SoCal fact: Some of your days will be spent accumulating more toxins into your tissues and organs than others (oncologists are busy), and some of your days will be spent soaking up the rays (dermatologists are busy) of that mostly sunny climate. If you pull some morbidity and location abstracts you'll see what the numbers suggest. You can try coastal locations for an improvement (if you can afford it), but just because you can't see it doesn't mean it's not there. Millions of emitting motor vehicles squeezed into a relatively small space should give you a clue about the potential for negative health consequences in the long-term. You can also go with that Southland fairy tale: the ocean breeze cleans out the smog, but you're really not that naive - right?
