gfunkclydefrog is on a distinguished road
there are some very seedy areas of hollywood. but for the most part you should be fine. and compton is very far away and if u do get lost you can usually find out where you are based on the graffiti.

I've had two convertibles and went all the places you'll go with them. No probs ever. I hardly ever put the top up on my Spider. Enjoy!

Sorcerer just gave you the key to driving a convertible safely in most places....leave the top down, weather permitting of course. The thing most petty thieves will do when they want to rummage around in your convertible is cut the top so they can unlock the doors. Friend with a convertible had that happen twice. Always left the top down after that and no more problems.

LOL...What is this obsession people have with Compton? I didn't realize it was so famous outside of Los Angeles. To answer your question Anarchy, unless there is a riot going on, which I doubt will be happening anytime soon, no you won't get hassled. If you have a nice car, most likely you will get some looks but no one will bother you. Now driving through or hanging out there after dark...probably not something I would do if I had a choice.

You can thank MTV for that. In thinking about it...I'm not sure I've ever been to Compton. In the 70's they were always talking about Watts.
