Hypodermic Needles in Downtown L.A area
I have heard(im assuming in the skidrow area) of people getting poked with used syringes...while walking in downtown area...Is this true? Does this happen frequently or is it an old wives tale?

ok...but do you think one would find needles littering the streets around skid row or downtown?

I have seen one in a telephone booth "once" and my then 4 year old daughter brought me a used needle she found in the sand in a park there.....scared the living daylights out of me!! Never went to that park again! It's not unheard of to run across a used needle but they surely aren't laying all over the sidewalks!!
Now used condoms....those are more common! Ugh!!

Very unlikely you would never see needles anywhere in LA [and I once worked in Skidrow]

Used condoms, bums sleeping on the sidewalk, crack deals going down, strawberries turning tricks.....you see this downtown, hollywood, some parts of venice, etc.
I've never seen a needle in all my years, to be honest....maybe that's because the dope fiends hang on to their tools.
Getting shot by gangster? ....you'll know when you're in the bad neighborhood with gangs.
