The area around Garey and La Verne Avenues is not too bad. The neighborhood is a few blocks north of I-10 and Pomona Valley Hospital. The farther north you go (toward Foothill Boulevard), it is generally a little better. The neighborhood gets tougher the farther east you move from Garey Avenue. The apartments along Towne Avenue just north of La Verne Avenue are pretty rough.
