Default Is Sunday the only day Venice Beach is packed?

Whenever I go to Venice is usually on Sundays, which is the last day of a weekend. Is Sunday the only day Venice Beach is crowded?

What about Friday or Saturday?

Venice is always crowded on the weekends, especially in the summer. If you go on a Friday you will be much better off in terms of parking availability and crowds.

Crowded on Saturday too.
Sunday is the day that gangs go to Venice, you are better off going on Saturday anyway.

Yes, Harry Perry plays on the boardwalk during weekends. Be prepare to pay him $1 if you take his picture, otherwise he gets mad.

Lulz! I heard about that!

Isn't Venice Beach always crowded? At least it is every time I've visited there, weekend or not. I do love that place though. Good times!

Venice is the bomb! Though I was there on a week day last summer (can't remember which one), and it wasn't crowded at all. It's probably nuts only on weekends. The tour book I have was right about one thing- hardly anyone actually goes out on the beach itself, which is quite beautiful and immensely wide. Most of the crowd mingles on the boardwalk.

No, it is not crowded all the time. In-fact during winter there are just a fraction the number of people even on warm afternoons. Summer is always the most crowded since there are a lot more people on the beach even on weekdays. Santa Monica, north of the pier is less crowded. I don't swim as much but always rent some bikes.

Well I guess I always seem to attract a crowd where ever I go.

Jaymum, I also noticed that nobody was really on the beach/ocean area as most people seemed to crowd around the Boardwalk. I love people watching, so I don't mind.
