Default La Palma - Need Advice

Hi, I am currently looking to purchase a home in La Palma, CA. My main concern is that Hawaiian Gardens is its neighboring city. Should I be concerned? I heard that Hawaiian Gardens has a high number of gang members. Thank you for your feedback.

no concern. and HG's gang problems are a shadow of what they used to be. its a fairly decent low/middle-low hispanic neighborhood now that the city has started revamping everything since the casino brought in the revenue.

My dentist's office used to be located in Hawaiian Gardens on Norwalk Blvd., one of the main drags. In all the time they were there (about 15 years), they never ONCE had experienced any kind of criminal activity whatsoever (break-ins, vandalism, etc.). Now they're located in Cerritos, a much nicer area which also happens to border La Palma.
