whats the point of this post... it doesn't really ask for anything specific.
Why are you moving to LA, when, what kind of neighborhood do you want to live in, how old are you, how much do you make, what do you do?

Well I didn't want to type a whole story but ok.
Right now I'm a nanny. I work with 2 families one full time and one part time. The family I work with part time I only work once a week from 8-12 hours about $20/hour. I want to move to LA because I want to go to UCLA. I'm 18 years old, but I would want to move in a year. I go to college full time. I make about 2000 a month.

From Craig's List:
$825 / 1br - SUPER CLEAN-BEST STREET IN COMPTON-HABLA ESPANOL-PARK/LAUNDRY- SEC-8 (large unit near LB BLVD )
Is that ghetto enough?

You can live much safer for that cheap - try Hollywood or Koreatown, or possibly somewhere in the Valley. You'll need to be somewhere near UCLA, and its immediate neighborhood is NOT cheap. What will you be doing for a living while attending college, to keep the $2000/month rolling in? That's the big question.

Baby M. I would suggest saving up, looking into scholarships and grants as well as Stafford loans.
Its not impossible, but what you really need to do is get into an apartment share, as in rent out a room in a house, you can do this a lot cheaper.
Hope that helps.
Also start looking right now into what you want to do. Do you know anyone in LA?

Yeah that's why I want to move in a year or so. I need to save money. Plus I want to finish my first 2 years of college here. And I was thinking about continuing to be a nanny. Being a nanny pays pretty good just about anywhere I think. That's what I want to do throughout college plus being a nanny is fun, when the kids aren't too spoiled. You get to eat for free while you work lol and they let you drive their cars when you use them to take the kids out or whatever. I think nannying is great. I just have to find people that need nannys
No I don't know anyone in LA. I have family in San Diego and San Jose and cities around SAn Jose. I was born in San Jose.
Yes I was thinking about either renting a room from someones house or finding a roommate.

Live in Westwood and walk to campus. They have very cheap units specifically for students. You can get a studio unit for about $600-700 or you can pair up with a roomate for even less than that. There is no need to live in a "ghetto" or less desirable neighborhood.
