Piggy backing on the first poster's question: We'll be moving to LA from the east coast next August/September. We would like to visit LA before we move to get a feel for the area and look at some daycares and possibly some apartment complexes. What would you all recommend in terms of visiting? When would be a good time to visit? (How far in advance?) Should we visit during the week or over the weekend? Does it make sense to look at apartments way in advance (I assume this would only make sense in apartment complexes) or should we wait until 1-2 months before so that we can see the actual apartment we'd be moving into? Thank you!
