Default What areas are safe in Signal Hill?

I have a new job in the north west portion of Long Beach and want to know what areas of Signal Hill are relatively safe. I am looking for a SF home or townhome in a newer complex.

There is just me, mid 40's, no kids, schools not the most important criteria.

Looking for a place below $400K

My work hours are flexible 6:00 AM-9:00 AM start time.

Thanks

I think Signal hill has had a lot of developement over the past 10 years but I think it was mostly SFR and I doubt you could get one for 400k. Probably a condo is the option. I could be wrong.

You could get a new condo building in downtown Long Beach if you like the urban thing. If you would prefer a slower pace maybe check out marina pacifica or the portofino around Naples. The buildings aren't new but they are well maintained. Downtown and the marina would be a short commute for you.

Signal Hill is nice, but the only draw-back I can think of is if you want to do a quick run to the grocery store or 7-11, it's not walking distance. Have to get in your car and drive.
