Gardens at Wilshire Center
Does anyone live at the Gardens at Wilshire Center (new building on the corner of Wilshire / Hobart)? Just wanted to hear some reviews of the place, haven't been able to find any online.
By the way, there were some awful reviews of the Wilshire / Vermont on Yelp, enough so that it's made me not consider moving there, after I had been pretty impressed with the place after visiting.

the funny part is that the other building has a ballys or 24 hr gym on those floors. so while you are jogging you can possibly catch someone getting out of the bath!!! or while you are bathing you can see someone jogging/lifting.
im sure it is a hallway on that side tho.
and the area there is pretty nice. its adjacent to a synagogue. its close to the metro. a couple blocks from some tasty eateries. its a nice neighborhood. the building itself... i dunno.

the building was pretty nice, traffic around that area a little crazy though. one good / bad thing is kyo-chan is right down the street, so i might be eating fried chicken three meals a day.
i also like that 24 is right next door, i have a current membership

I was looking into this building as well. Did you get a chance to check out any of the units? Does it exude the luxury it implies on the website?

yes there is a kychon, but the pho place, saigon pho, right next door is also delicious. the traffic aint that bad. im surprised you thought it was a little crazy. after 7 pm or 8 wilshire is pretty fast moving. during the day it can be packed with cars.

awesome, glad to hear that pho place is good. thanks!
as for the building, units can be a little cramped, but overall pretty nice. i say wilshire / vermont and this place are the two nicest in terms of "bland luxury", at least from all the places i've checked out. but both places are sort of expensive, so it depends if the extra cost is worth it to you. there is also a new condo development on berendo that they are renting out of desperation i assume, just south of wilshire. these units are incredible, and huge, but pretty expensive. you should check them out anyway, just to see them.
some nice places around irolo too, really like the foot traffic around there on wilshire.
