Miss Chris D is on a distinguished road
Default Where to live working in City of Industry & East LA

I know lot's of moving questions have been asked, but here is my situation.....my job will now be based out of City of Industry, but will need to commute 5 or so days a month to East LA. On top of that I will be traveling on a regular basis so also need access to airports. I don't know many people in LA area but have heard so many conflicting opinions I'm about ready to scream. I currently live in a older part of Sacramento, can walk to restaurants, parks, grocery, etc. and would like to continue if possible. I've been to Pasadena and love it, but not sure about the commute. More than anything, I don't want a horrendous commute. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Actually your commute to ELA, Industry, LAX, Burbank and Ontario will not be too bad from Pasadena.

Take the 210 east to the 605 south, then get off on Valley Blvd and head east, or take the 60 east to get to Industry.

Going to east L.A. you can take Los Robles or Lake south to get you to the 10/710 interchange and that will get you to ELA.

Those are all relatively smooth commutes.
