its pacoima. who really WANTS to live there. i know i wouldnt. if i had to be in the armpit known as the valley, i would not choose pacoima. or most of its other various smelly wiry hairs. not panorma. san fernando. no thanks.

even the nice places dont seem that attractive given the heat and overall dirtiness.
the distance from life in the city also would make me now want to live out there. maybe a gift house in woodland hills. i hear thats supposed to be decent...

wink wink

by the way, the moderators removed my link because it was a real estate link but if you live in SFV you know where they are located.

I was watching one of those house flipper reality shows today. A young woman fixed up a long beach condo and sold it for asking (339K). That episode must have filmed last year... I'd bid 200K for the condo shown.
If 103K came to fruition I can assure you that there would be another thread from folks in that region bitchin on how there are too many undesirables living in the same neighborhood haha.

Isn't Pacoima already where the undesirables wind up? Could it really get any worse if housing were cheaper?

I believe Pacoima is gang infested now. I also believe it's worse than Van Nuys.

Gang infested. My mother-in-law lived there for 30 years before passing away and the moment that she did, her neighbors looted her back yard and one of them tried to get in a fight with me while we were trying to have a garage sale over "looking at him funny".

[quote=LALady;6729982]Wikipedia has an entry for Pacoima. Interesting fact: Leonardo Dicaprio and Cheech Marin are from Pacoima.

Add to that list '50s rock-and-roller Ritchie Valens. But like many communities in the L.A. area, Pacoima has changed significantly in the last half-century.
