Default Moving to Arcadia...Please HELP!!!

Hi all...hope you had a merry christmas and a happy new year!

I need to move next month to Arcadia, CA. Was looking around when I found a good place near intersection of Foothill blvd & Santa Anita Ave.
Now, I know that Arcadia is a nice area but have mostly been familiar with the other side of it, closer to Temple City and the shopping mall.

Do any of you know how good is this part of Arcadia? I know sometimes even good cities have so-so neighbourhoods. I also heard that sometimes there are burglary issues from people visiting the race tracks but I don't know if it's true.

Please guide me here..

Thanks so much!!

I know that area very well and you will be fine. I don't know where you came up with the racetrack/burglary association.

If you are near Foothill and Santa Anita that is probably the nicest area of Arcadia. That's on the edge of the Higland Oaks neighborhood and overall a great area to live in. That intersection is quite a distance from the race track which in itself does not pose a problem except for the increased traffic.

I used to read gas meters for the Gas Company. I had several routes in that area. I never felt unsafe or thought the area was undesirable. Very nice homes in that area. Very clean and well-kept.

I would totally live there if I could afford it.
