Default Los Feliz to Covina commute?

I work in the Covina area and I am curious about the commute from Los Feliz. Mapquest says it's about 29 miles which is pretty far so I'm doubting this will work. Has anyone done this commute? I found a really nice apartment in Los Feliz but I am probably going to have to pass because a 29 mile commute scares me.

That would not be fun. I drive part (only less than 1/2) of that commute on a several-times-a-week basis, and it. is. not. short.

you would be on the 10 freeway and it might go your way if the timing is right. heading east on the 10 from LA is horrible. but its is only slightly horrible comng west from the covina area.

its still horrible tho.

that would be a reverse commute for sure, but it would still be expensive. You would likely be filling your tank atleast once a week. If gas prices go back up, you'll probably be hating yourself. unfortunately, covina is a very suburban city and surrounded my much of the same. pasadena would be a bit closer than los feliz, but other than that, you'd have to move to brea or fullerton to be somewhere that has decent night life. you could also check claremont, which i've heard good things about.
