Yeah, but federal funds have additional requirements that slow down projects. Metro will be applying for federal funds for some, but not all for that reason. Either way that is included in this timeline. It's not solely based on Measure R.

Blue Line to Union Station, Green Line to LAX (it's STILL amazing to think that didn't happen during the original construction), and the Gold Line to ONT. Anyone taking bets on how much more bond indebtedness we'll be asked to take on to finish all the projects? Ugh.....

gold line to ONT?

i think there needs more local rail within the a 10( maybe 15) mi radius of downtown before MTA starts getting too ambitious.

start a small grid (which is what we have) and expand in rings around town. or a spiral. once they finish the expo, start with a connecting line down crenshaw, then extend the one down wilshire, then furhter east (going north/south) maybe a large thoroughfare like atlantic. then go south to slauson. then another N/S route west of crenshaw(maybe parallel to the 405), then an east west line in the north. then another N/S line, further east of atlantic, and eventually you begin to have a series of loops that connect and move people about town.

when building these routes the biggest factors to consider are, ridership and population density. economic development/revitalization and employment zones are also factors to consider.

but all this could just be a dream...
