I don't think anyone from Los Angeles really cares seeming as he was the sheriff of Orange County. He had nothing to do with L.A. politics.

john and ken were probably the biggest corona bashers out there. weren't they trying to get their listeners on to the jury to make sure the guy was convicted? knowing this, i would gather that they are a bit biased on the subject.
my understanding was that the defense was based on the haidl character who apparently tried to buy his way into the sherrif's dept. then he teamed up with the prosecution to secretly record conversations with corona. as nasty as those conversations were, who does that to supposed friend? haidl sounds like a piece of s*** to me that sold out his friend to get himself off of the hook. if i was a juror, i'm not sure how much i would trust his testimony either. i don't think the gang rape that his son and his buddies video taped helped his cause either.

CARONA is how to spell the name of the corrupt ex-Sheriff of OC. CORONA is a city in the inland empire. Please spell the corrupt ex-Sheriff CARONA's name right so we don't bash the citizens of CORONA for no reason. Thanks.

I am also surprised & unhappy about the verdict but California is known for it's weird jury decisions seems like nobody gets convicted! Do you think the prosecution will want a re-trial outside Orange county?
