Default Moving To Burbank

Hello I'm a 20 year old student, and I'm going to be attending Musician's Institute in a couple months. I'm looking to move sometime late next month and have decided I'd like to try and find a place in Burbank. I'll be going down next weekend to look for places, but was wondering if anyone had any advice for places to look. I hear the best way to do it is just walk the streets and look for available apartments, but any advice would help. I'm looking to spend no more than $900/month, do you think this is possible for a small studio in Burbank? I'd also like to find a place that allowed pets (I have two rats), so hopefully that works out. I chose Burbank because it seemed the safest choice, while not being too far from Hollywood. Thank you

Most $900 apartments already have a couple of rats!!

900 is probably a little cheap for Burbank.

I've found a few places on Craigslist..

Studio 1030 W. Olive Ave
Don't pay more for SPACE, a pool, a/c, parking, great area, and more!!
Spacious 1 Bed + 1 Bath Apartment (All Utilities Included)

But it seems most of you are saying it would be too expensive...are there any other safe alternatives to living in Hollywood?

Yeah...try North Hollywood north of Burbank Ave, or maybe between Vineland and Pass if you're looking south of there. $900 won't get you real far in Burbank. Also, isn't the institute in Hollywood? If you're closer to the NoHo arts district you can catch the Metro down there instead of driving (North Hollywood stop to the Hollywood & Highland stop if I recall.)

Yeah, it's in Hollywood. I'll try looking around the arts district when I go down there next weekend. My aunt lives in North Hollywood, and it's just not a very nice neighborhood, so that's all the experience I have with that area. But I'm sure like every town there are the good/bad areas. Thanks for the help.

Stay South of Burbank, but once you get too far South (past Riverside) it starts to get expensive again.

Why would a 20 year old want to live in Burbank when you can find a $900 studio in Los Feliz or Silver Lake?

That is incorrect information about apartment having rats for that price, some jokes are a trip.

You can find a place out here in california in the city of burbank for 900.00 a month, depending on what your looking for, maybe a single may be perfect for you because your a student.

try a few of these websites www.westsiderentals , craigslist classifieds: jobs, housing, personals, for sale, services, community, events, forums , san fernando valley - apartments for rent - backpage.com (back page is owned by la weekly) , Apartments for Rent around Los Angeles - Oodle.com

The best I found so far when looking for apartment this is the best choices to find something you need.

good luck
