Looking at a crime statistics map shows that there is a section east of Hill and north of Washington Blvd that is considered a high crime area. Can anyone confirm?

I wouldn't trust anything north of the 210 to be honest

There are some great areas north of the 210. That's a sweeping statement that leaves out neighborhoods like Bungalow Heaven and the like.

I haven't lived east of Hill and north of Washington, but I didn't think that was a high crime area. There's been a lot of revitalization over on that stretch of East Washingon in recent years. I suppose there's more crime than in some of Pasadena's ritzy areas, but I don't think it's that bad in the area you've described. Northwest Pasadena is usually the part of Pasadena that gets hit with the bad neighborhood reputation, not northeast.
