I missed it. Doug McIntyre and Kevin James were guest speakers. BTW, all Moore needed as of this morning was $2500 before either Tony Villar by law will be forced to debate him, or Tony will be forced to forfeit matching funds for his own campaign.

I can't wait until that debate. Tony V. won't know what hit him.

from Mr. Moore's website:

"We need a Mayor who will focus on making every neighborhood a safe neighborhood; getting traffic moving again; preserving our city’s low-rise, low-density architecture; and getting good employers to move into L.A., not out."

Isn't this a bit of a contradiction? Keeping the city low density while increasing employment within the city will keep people who work in the city from living here, therefore perpetuating the current traffic issues that we face. If I had more time I'd read how he plans to do this, but since I'm at work, I'll have to wait.

I still think these other guys are just pretenders compared to Villariagosa.

If this guy thinks preservation of low-density is LA's path for the future... I'm definately not in agreement with him. The days of low-density have already passed, and we need to embrace the new higher density LA that has evolved and build infrastructure accordingly. LA needs to move forward, not backwards.

Who is Walter Moore? If he is a Republican then why waste your time on someone who can never be elected?

Honestly, I have never even heard of Walter Moore & assume he is the Republican candidate. Nothing in the LA Times or TV stations about Moore. I've attended local election debates where several political parties are present [including socialists] and notice that the GOP candidates never use the word "Republican" even on literature. Los Angeles is strictly a Democratic city, everyone knows that [ie one Republican on 15-seat city council

Richard Riordan was the last GOP mayor & only won because he is so liberal [ie pro-gay marriage\ endorsed Bill Clinton & Obama] and a millionaire Catholic who didn't take a salary & built many city parks. That's the kind of Republican I could vote for

I agree. Too bad Rick Caruso hasn't entered the race. It looks like he won't run until 2013
