Question Safe in West Covina?

I know this topic has been talked to death in posts but I need more of a straight answer. I am looking at some apartments on Nogales between Amar and Nogales. I have driven through the area and it seems alright. I need to know if this would be a good area to move. Or does anyone know of safe areas around that area that have one bedroom apartments for around $1,100. I work in City of Industry and would not mind living as far as San Dimas and Glendora. Any suggestions from people living in the area? Thanks

Of those three cities I'd choose to live in them in this order: San Dimas, Glendora, West Covina.

All three are pretty safe as far as I'm concerned. Just find a complex you like and drive past during the day and at night and you will instantly know if the area is an area you want to live in.

I would agree, but I think San Dimas and Glendora are pretty equal..

Amar and Nogales is a pretty active area.Lots of things to do.Very close to Hacienda and Rowland Heights. You can check the police reports for crime

The commute from the West Covina area to City of Industry is not going to be nice.

That said, I lived in West Covina for years, my disabled sister still lives there and neither one of us have ever had a problem living by ourselves. I often walked around by myself at night and never felt unsafe.

Right by the Albertson's, right? The area is fine. I'm less than a mile west of Nogales & Amar. Depending on which part of City of Industry, it could be anywhere from 5 minutes (ie. straight south on Nogales) to 40 minutes (the City of Industry portion by Pico Rivera).

The apartments in West Covina off Azusa, OTOH ... that's not as nice.

Yes, narfcake, I was (and she still is) at Citrus and the 10. I love that area.
