Default 30 Day Notice / Prorate / Etc.

If I give my 30 day notice on March 5th, am I legally required to pay a full month rent for the month of April?

Thirty days' notice means exactly that. If you give notice on March 5th, then you are legally obligated to pay rent through April 4th unless your landlord is willing to make other arrangements.

Unless of course the lease isn't fulfilled. But I'm assuming it's month to month based on the wording.
