I'll be moving to Burbank in August and attending Woodbury University. All I know is that it's on Glenoaks Blvd but i'm not really familiar with the immediate area! Does anyone know is this is a really nice (upscale) area or somewhat bad like south LA? Also, I will be looking for a side job until I can land an internship. This may sound funny but are there many Subway's in this area (the restaurant)...and about how long is a commute to the Beverly Hills or Orange County area?? Thankss soo much for your help!

Burbank/Glendale is a nice area, but you don't want to commute to OC from here. You can probably find a job bartending or waiting tables are here. There is only one subway in the area (North Hollywood Red Line) and it goes to Hollywood and into Downtown.

He meant Subway as in the sandwich shop.

Burbank is fine. Not anything at all like South LA. I'm sure there are Subways there. You can Google their website. If that's the kind of job you like I'm sure their competitors are there too.

You could commute to Beverly Hills. Orange County is out of the question unless you are psychotic.

The OP speaks Internet English... In Internet English you form a plural by adding "apostrophe S."

Jeez, Jack, can't you speak InternEnglish?

Next thing you'll be telling me "u cant spk textese!"

Burbank is fine. It's almost like Mayberry only everybody lives a lot closer. Going to Beverly Hills is no problem.

If you have friends in OC, you'll probably find new friends because the commute really stinks -- big time. I lived in Burbank and had OC friends and I lost every single one of them. You can't meet on Friday nights because it's like a serious 3 hour commute to Orange County on I-5 on Friday nights.

Thanks soo much for the replies. I mean SUBWAY as in the restaurant meaning it would be capital S and "'s" and the only reason i'm asking about Subway is that it's easy, I've been an assitant manager there for 2 years and I could easily work there while attending school, but again thanks everyone for the positive feedback it really means a lot...and I guess I can basically delete the idea of visiting my friends in OC it it's that bad of a commute haha!
