How hard is to move to LA without a job and place to live? I've always wanted to live here. I am in my late 20's and am from Canada.

Since you already live there, you are fine.

Since you have no job and no place to live and you are from Canada, it's easy to move to Los Angeles. The hard part is moving in your late 20s.

and what kind of work will you do, how much money is saved for your move, do you have a work visa lined up..Always wanting to is one thing, doing it is quite another..

I have always wanted to hit the jackpot on the slots as well or win the lottery, but it probably will never happen.

Very hard. Especially for someone from another Country. I've wanted to move to L.A for a long time, but I knew that I would need a visa. I am now in my 2nd year of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. My wife finishes her nursing degree this summer. If you want to go to L.A, I would look up the professions that are covered by the North American Free Trade Agreement(NAFTA) and see if your job skills fit into any of the categories. All the positions require at least a B.A degree. If you don't have a profession covered by N.A.F.T.A, then you need someone in the U.S to sponsor you and in this economy you would have better luck with the 6/49 jackpot. Just like one cannot move to Canada and get a job here on a whim, it is the same way in the U.S.

How hard is it to get struck by lightning on the night you won the lottery?

With so many nice places to move why would you want to move to SoCal? Don't forget people move out of california not into california.
There is a reason for that.

^ I agree. There has been a noticeable increase in posts (like this one) about people wanting to move here -- the threads are scant on information/details, and the people are without jobs, education, money, no nothing, etc. LOL

Gotta spread the love around, but know that I'm sending some your way.

Probably happens a lot in Jan, Feb, and March after a lot of midwesterners, east coasters and British get sick of the cold, dreary weather. The contrasts are most extreme in winter.

Can't blame them. I'm LA this week and it has been so perfect and green and warm.
