Within 45 minutes driving time of El Segundo?

Needs: private yard, parking, dishwasher (is that pretty standard in a LA rental?)

Do most rentals in LA have central A/C?

Rentals with central AC depends on the house. Many of the houses were built before central a/c was a standard. dishwashers are typically standard, at least in apts.

i'd look at torrance.

I've rented two places in LA - one house, one apartment. The apartment lacked central A/C, the house had it, and neither had a dishwasher. Remember to ask about refrigerator, too - I've lived a lot of other places, but LA is the only place I've encountered where refrigerators don't always come standard with rentals.

Don't know what other parameters you have (kids, etc.), but all 2-3 bedroom apartments/condos/townhouses for rent in this week's El Segundo Herald, (El Segundo's weekly newspaper) are under $2500/mo. Most don't allow pets and the ads don't go into a lot of detail. Generally, homes in El Segundo don't have air conditioning because it's so close to the beach.

When you say 45 minutes driving time of El Segundo, you need to be more specific. When will you be traveling? 45 minutes can be 10 miles during rush hour periods, or 45 miles if you travel during off periods.

Sorry -- pretty much during traffic hours. 8am-6pm or so. Maybe an hour earlier in the morning or an hour later in the evening, but I'm assuming that is still "rush hour".

Moto, are you from Dallas?
