I know this Tread is old, but Wow, I hope this thread is not a true representation of our Country/scared of shadows or what?

I just logged onto Hertz, and they will waive the underage fee.
The cost to rent a Convertible Ford Mustang is $550.00 per week. + ins of $15.00 per day
for a 20-24 year old. Now I would suggest, for anyone, to call Hertz and secure the car you want ahead of time. You will find that very often, the car will not be available without reservation. Use a credit card for a down payment
and they will hold the car for you. This is important, because car rental co's like to flip you into whatever they have on the lot. Try and rent from LAX as they have a lot of cars available.

Not everyone in the world is afraid to try new things, go to different countries etc. Leave the young kids alone.
This one is now 23 years old and Hopefully he came to the US a few times now. I'll bet they had a great time. He's not going to wait and he should not wait. $1,300 on a car is what it is. He's going to stay in hotels, eat out, and see a bunch of sights, go wherever he wants...its a vacaction folks. They dont have children, dogs, pets, mortgage problems, commutes etc. strangling their finances.

I've driven in other Countries and California Driving is Easy compared to other cities outside the U.S. and a lot less frustrating than some of the more supposedly remote/friendly areas of this county.

Hope both of you had/have great times here!!
