If you go through Omaha, NE you should be able to knock it out in 2 days and three hours.

Burbank, CA to Bakersfield, CA - Google Maps

Sounds like one to me.

As for 1 hour 49 minutes ... that's not taking into account the Tejon Pass, the Newhall Pass, or the typical traffic patterns from Santa Clarita to Burbank. So to err on the safe side, factor in 3 hours each way.

Yep sry but it is a commute ? I obviously dont live in either one. I live in Tx in fact but I ahave found some possible areas to transfer my job to. One in Bakersfield another in Santa Paula another in Ventura and another in like Compton. My aunt lives in Burbank which is the only reason I ask. I was wondering if I "bunked" with my aunt and cousins if the drive was gonna kill me or not. So Ill ask this as well. Which one out the given is really best bet. Here's the factors

Closest
Easiest commute (doesnt have to be the closest just easy)
Best area as far as community
Oh and if i could add (sry this was after i posted this that i thought of it) but if you happen to know eaches cost of living, roughly
Ok well thanks for your thought; comments; and insights. Oh and a 6hr round trip commute wont cut it. hahaha. Thats like me driving from where I live to Dallas in one day. If I hit rush hour in Dallas. HAha no thanks

Yeah forget Bakersfield to Burbank. That's like commuting between Austin and Dallas. No way. Bakersfield would be my last choice but if you're wiling to trade long, hot, humid summers for long, hot, dry summers it would work. Its also got the cheapest cost of living in the state but there's a reason for that. Santa Paula/Ventura would be nice and Compton is close enough to decent areas to commute if you're looking for a more urban experience.

A commute to/from Burbank isn't going to be "quick" to any of those destinations. Of the 4 (Bakersfield, Santa Paula, Ventura, Compton), Santa Paula is going to be the most reasonable; 55 miles each way, though you'll be against traffic if it's a normal day job. Compton, though closer, will be with the traffic most of the way and it'll get ugly crossing downtown. Ventura or Bakersfield ... I hope you love your car, because you'll be spending a lot of time in it.

So it's a matter of a 1 hour 10 commute, or up to a 3 hour commute (each way) ...

Oh, he wants still wants to live in Burbank and commute to those location? I'd second your NO vote on that idea. Live close to work.
