thanks for the tip re: original pizza - i'll have to check it out next time i'm in the newport beach area. at the very least, it sounds like a convenient place to grab a bite after hanging out on the beach.
and yeah, new haven pizza definitely lives up to the hype - if you're ever in the nyc area with a day to spare and are as fanatical about pizza as i am, it's absolutely worth checking out.

Was Casa Bianca in Eagle Rock already mentioned? It is a favorite for many since you regularly see people lined up outside. They also have great salads.

Forget all these trendy joints, if you want to experience Pizza nirvana call in for take out at Petrillo's in San Gabriel, and if you're a New Yorker, you can finally discover what a real pizza is about.

It's funny you say that because when I went to NY last year I was totally unimpressed with the pizza.

I used to really love Numero Uno Pizza. Best crust I've ever ate. Had one a mile from the house. I think the closest one for me now is near Disneyland.

I went to the California Pizza Kitchen today in Ventura and loved every minute of my stay there. Also am very impressed with Little Tony's in Port Hueneme and Armandos Italian Villa in Oxnard. Haven't been to too many places in the LA area for Pizza anyway.
Always wondered what made a good New York pizza. I know what I like though. So what is it that makes everything so much better in a New York Pizza joint? Can you explain what makes it so great?

Who said you're from New York?
I made a lot of people happy with the large supreme pizza I ordered from Petrillo's this week.
