West LA lacking any hip music

The Hammer Museum used to host summer shows (July) sponsored by Indie 103, but I'm not sure what they will do now with Indie off the air.

Thanks everyone...I feel that I now have a better perspective on what others consider cutting edge and hip music. I guess what I was trying to convey is finding music that one might find at the current South by s/west festival in Austin, Tx. That's what I consider a wel diversified music scene with alternative artists. I haven't checked the Air Conditioned Supper Club indie nights and will check that out. Thanks to all of you for your great suggestions.
