Default commute from studio city to san dimas and westwood?

Hey guys... my husband and i are living in pasadena right now; he works here in pasadena and i work out in san dimas. However, he has a great job offer out in westwood that he is going to take. The problem is that I have to keep my job in san dimas and pasadena is too far of a commute for him to drive all the way to westwood. we are thinking about moving to studio city as a halfway point? Is that realistic? Ideally, we are looking for a commute that is 45 minutes ( no more than an hour) for both of us. I know that driving on the 210 east for me is relatively traffic free but what about the 134 east?
what do you guys think?

Studio City to Westwood is easy. You can take Beverly Glenn or Coldwater Canyon and just hop over the hill.
