Default Best Mexican Food - Albuquerque or LA???

Anyone out there who loves Mexican food from Albuquerque? I have to admit it is the bomb. How does LA Mexican food stack up?

my point being that the 2 areas have very different styles of mexican food probably originating from different regions of mexico. most mexican food i've seen around the country is similar to LA mex food not NM mex food.

there's New Mexico Mexican food, Sonoran Mexican food, central Mexico Mexican food, Taco Bell Mexican food.....

some use more peppers, others grill a lot, others have sauce all over everything.....I don't know the subtle differences.....

LA vs ABQ is a hard thing.....all types are probably represented in both towns.....gotta compare apples with apples, of course....NM Mex food is distinctive and may not appeal to all, even tho that person may love other Mex food....

Yes I remember Albuquerque got a "Garcia's of Scottsdale" way back and it was rejected because it was different style.

Different types of Mexican friend in mention.

Anyways, LA has to be at the top of the Mexican food hierarchy, given the sheer size, scale and scope of the Mexican food places..but also the immense breadth and variety. Its bewildering, to say the least.

Not even a close comparison - New Mexican food is in a class by itself.

That's what I would figure...and that's what I hope to find for myself.

You speak the truth. I was born and raised there and since leaving the food is all I miss. And I do miss it immensely. I honestly don't know how Mexican food could get any better than Albuquerque's.
