Once you come to terms with the fact that IT IS GOING TO HAPPEN, and that it can happen at anytime, all you can do is prepare yourself.

Some things that I have done:

Built a storage shed in backyard to keep food items.
Keep civilian MREs on hand along with canned foods
Store water
Portable gas generator
Have CASH on hand. Had a hard time finding working ATM after Northridge quake.
Have an old trimline phone that doesnt require electricity to use.
Portable radio
Batteries

Luckily, I live in a house so I can have all of this stuff. Would SUCK to live in a condo or apartment

Are you really putting a 2.5/3.8 tremblor on par with the big one or even 6.0. Those little shakers can easily be confused with a truck passing by or something heavy falling outside LOL Heck our aftershocks are bigger than that, stay in 2.5 land that since those do nothing for preparation of some of the stuff out here.

Don't even bother me with 6.0 quakes. That's barely enough to wake me from a sound sleep. That's a baby quake. As "Sprint" said, that's barely larger than a passing big truck.

All the wackos who posted about how the end of SoCal is near in 2010 must really be upset now that it's 2011 and nothing happened.

Those people are really whackos! Those of us who really know are predicting December 21, 2012.

Well, that was pure, unadulterated spin and damage control. I hear that baldy's no longer employed by that church in Temecula.
