Few pix from Hollywood. Unfortunately, I didn't had time to explore it much
Like always, you can click on the pix, and read more detailed description.

The Eiffel Tower-like gazebo is supported by four caryatids (look it up!) depicting four women draped in close-fitting gowns: Delores del Rio, Mae West, Dorothy Dandridge and Anna May Wong representing not just female contributions to Hollywood, but the mutli-ethnic make up of contributors.

El Capitan Theatre
This 1000-seat theatre has great genes. Those genes served it well enough until the Great Depression hit.
A face-lift brought the 16-year-old theatre a Streamline Moderne look, covering, but (thankfully) not demolishing much of the fa̤ade and interior. Paramount took it over, then sold it to Pacific Theatres and they, in turn, sold it to the folks at Disney. The original look Рand name - were restored. Disney occupies the former Barker Brothers furniture space with its Disney Soda Fountain and the Disney Studio Store.

First National Trust & Savings Bank
Somehow, it manages to blend Art Deco organization (strong vertical piers, recessed windows, a tower) with Beaux Arts (ornate lower and upper floor flourishes, Greek pediment over the door) and all this while displaying some Gothic and Spanish Colonial design cues, to boot.

The Hollywood & Highland Center
The centerpiece of the complex is a massive three-story courtyard inspired by the Babylon scene from the D.W. Griffith film Intolerance. The developer of the shopping center built part of the archway and two pillars with elephant sculptures on the capitals, just as seen in the film, to the same full scale. It gives visitors an idea of how large the original set must have been.

“The Road to Hollywood” (Erika Rothenberg, 2002) includes 49 real - but anonymous – stories about real people who made it real big in Hollywood.
