The area seems to be highly influenced by Indian (and other) cultures. Haven't been in that area in quite some time. Interesting photos. Thanks.

I'm surprised 100% of all the businesses on that stretch of Westwood don't have Farsi on them by now. I'm surprised it's not officially renamed Little Tehran by now.

Some of that writing might be in Urdu which uses the same alphabet. Just as the Iranians too poor to live in Westwood wind up in Palms, the South Asians who can afford something better than Palms might be in Westwood....

Matteo's and Junior's have somehow managed to survive. Since Matteo's is a well known hangout for certain Italian-American gentlemen from the Eastern US I suppose that they'll continue to survive. |
