Default safety near Artesia and Inglewood in North Redondo Beach

Hi,

Looking at a beautiful rental in North Redondo Beach, approximately 1-2 blocks west of main intersections of Artesia Blvd and Inglewood Ave. Can anyone comment on the safety of this area. I've looked at crime maps etc, but would like a personal opinion. Thanks!

Ooh! Right up my alley!

That is not the most beautiful part of Redondo by any means but it is perfectly safe. It is very close to the South Bay Galleria so it probably has the highest crime rate in Redondo but compared to much of So Cal cities that isn't that high really. If you've found a home you really like there you shouldn't be afraid to call it home at all. If you go across the street and east to Lawndale, however, then you are in a very different city and atmosphere and I can't recommend that at all. Different universes entirely. Strange but true.
