Hows employment for Social services right now?
Careerbuilder and other sites list a lot of jobs in the LA area that I could be qualified for (I have a Bachelors in Social Work and completeing my Masters in HUman Services) Most of my experience is with CPS, and counseling. I want to get into a mental hospital as a case manager if possible but afraid that I will end up having to do CPS again. I am from just north of Atlanta and CPS here was always a bit sketchy....but I am thinking LA will be worse on the danger scale. I really want to keep working in social services but I am not sure if there is enough oppotunity there. My bf has a Masters in Visual Effects so that is why we are more than likely moving there in the fall. Will he have a hard time finding work considering LA is the studio capital of the world? We both have about 10,000$ saved for the trip......but are worried that wil only cover a couple months.....I need to know....is there jobs?
