Default Commute time (Brentwood to Calabasas)
Hello.

My husband and I are moving from Chile to LA this summer. I will be working in Calabasas, and my hubby will be employed in Brentwood. If we were to live in Brentwood, what would my commute time be to Calabasas? I work from 8 am to 4pm.

PLEASE ADVISE!!!

I did a quick check (405/101) using google maps traffic, "traffic at time and day" and was surprised that it wasn't that bad. You would be pretty much going against traffic. My guess is 40 minutes to Calabasas and 50 coming home.

Check siglalert.com during your expected commute times.

You also might be able to work PCH/Topanga as an alternative.

Thanks, Charles. I actually did the drive once at 6 am for a job interview and there were no cars on the road. However I have been reading other "LA commute" posts from ppl and it freaked me out! Someone actually told me it would take 2 hrs on any given day!

I will check the web site you referenced.
