Default living off Sunset

Is living off Sunset at La Brea a good place to move for a young Hollywood type, working in the entertainment industry?

Whats too much to pay for this area (with a roommate)?

It's not the prettiest place, although it gets nicer as you move west. One bedrooms go for $1200 - $1600 ish, two bedrooms for more than that. There are a ton of openings right now.

I agree with ElleBebe - Sunset and La Brea is kind of an ugly intersection, but I think it's a great location. I personally liked the Yucca Corridor area better - that's the area between Franklin and Hollywood along Yucca - as it was closer to the action, had some very beautiful historic buildings (even if you don't live in one, you can look at them out your window!) and we had a nice view from our window. Still, La Brea and Sunset is still close enough to easily walk to everything you need in Hollywood (and near West Hollywood), and would, I think, be an ideal place for a young person working in the industry.

The place is like 2 blocks west of La Brea, half block off Sunset. So its more on Sunset than it is La Brea.
