In my excitement I forgot to say that once I get to the state line in CA, I am gonna jump out of my car and kiss the CA ground - no matter who spit on it or peed on it or whatever!!! I am just so happy to be going back home!!!!! So, if anybody sees some weirdo on the side of the road kissing the ground, that would be me!!!!!

Hi Twinkle Toes,

That's pretty cool. Palm Desert is a nice place! Did you find an apartment to rent? Where are you moving from again?

I'm originally from Palm Desert but we sold our gorgeous house to move into a really nice house in San Antonio, TX. After being in Texas for 7 months we absolutely do NOT like it, and we are moving back to Palm Desert and we'll buy another house there. Our Texas house is for sale now. It's a beautiful house, it's too bad we can't just take the house with us and move it to the desert!!! I just can't wait to get back home!

Congratulations!! I'm so jealous! We are in the same boat! Hopefully we will be saying the same thing as you sooner then later. We moved to Texas 2.5 years ago and we can't wait to get back to California!

Hi Twinkle Toes,

I'm curious to know why you moved to San Antonio and what about it wasn't for you. If you're happiest in the desert, then that's where you should be. i wish I could find a place I felt so certain about and connected to.

Artie

I guess they won't tell us. :-(

My guess is they didn't like the weather. It's not uncommon for people who live in one place (whether it's California or Maine) for a long time to have trouble adjusting to live elsewheres. They like what they know. They don't want the rain, or the snow, or the humidity. Everyone is different.
