Default Is it safe on 135th St, Hawthorne?

Hi everyone,
Please give me some insight on this location.

I found this house on 135th St, corner of Ocean Gate Ave, just one block East of the 405 Freeway. Is that a safe neighborhood?

The address of it: 5115 W 135th St, Hawthorne, CA 90250

That's in the Del Aire district of Hawthorne.

If you are thinking about moving to Hawthorne, there is an area you may prefer depending on your needs. It is more to the West. The southwest corner of the area is bound by Aviation Blvd. to the West and Rosecrans Avenue to the South which boarders Manhattan Beach. The area is known as Hollyglen and I believe one of the nicest areas of Hawthorne. It has been awhile since I have heard any news, but Hollyglen is in the Wiseburn School District and used to be very good. The area is well-kept and only a few miles from the beach.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Can someone kindly comment on this address of Hawthorne: 12202 Hawthorne Way, Hawthorne. The good thing is that its very close to the police station, but I don't know about the area itself. Is the street itself safe? Are the surrounding streets safe? Thank you. This area is just west of hawthorne blvd, north of el segundo, and east of inglewood.

Not a particularly good area.

Take a look at it on google satellite view. Looks like a pretty heavy commercial area. Right across the street is a large commercial building or buildings.

Yes it's a very nice family oriented community, that is also quite diverse. My girlfriend lives in the area, and I am very familiar with it. There many older but very well kept homes.

When I was in high school, I used to work at the Thriftys on 132nd and Hawthorne blvd. Those were the good old days.

My question to the original poster is, is your name Mr. Vo?! If you are Vietnamese, I think you would like Hawthorne. There is a sizable asian community and also alot of Vietnamese in the area. There is a Saigon market on Hawthorne Boulevard. I thought you might like that.
