I gotta tell you- it was a great shaker in El Segundo. BUT, I was MUCH less concerned than I've been in smaller ones. It was so close, I didn't get the rolling. Just shook pretty good for about 5-seconds and that was it. My daughter, who is scared to death of quakes, called laughing from her car. The 3.1 aftershock was a pretty good, very brief, jolt too. With all that, no damage and nothing fell.

I was in my car in Laguna Hills. Normally if you're in a car, you don't feel them. My car was shaking pretty good, before I realized it was an earthquake I thought someone was outside messing with my car. Growing up in Alaska, I am plenty used to these

I'm in Playa del Rey and that was pretty intense. Definitely the biggest one I've felt. I didn't go through the Northridge one though. That was a jolting one here. It definitely made the house go up and down, not side to side. It was about 5-10 seconds here.

The depth was 8.4 miles, not really shallow but slightly more shallow than the typical California quakes.

Here in Long Beach - it was loud and a big shaker. I'm waiting for the aftershocks. I swear it had to be more the a 5.0.
