Question Morning driving time LAX to WEST COVINA

I am traveling to LA, and I need some info on driving times. I am arriving at LAX at 8 am, and I have to rent a car and then drive to West Covina. How long will it take me at that time of day? Thanks!

I would guess 90 minutes, but check mapquest and add extra driveable time, considering the time of day you'll be driving.

An hour and a half?!? Is that because of distance or traffic, or both? Thanks.

Default 35 miles through the heart of "L.A."

Best to check the Traffic button at maps.google.com to see how congested it is at that time of the day.
Decades ago, "L.A." had a thing called "rush hour traffic". Now we have rush day traffic. When you see the onramp metering on on a Saturday, someone isn't doing enough about the traffic problems.

Yes, I'm afraid an hour and a half is about right. I recommend taking the 105 to the 605 to the 10 rather than the 405 to the 10. I think it's a little further miles-wise, but the traffic is a little better.

Good luck

You best bet is it hang out in the airport for a couple of hours before you get your car. Leaving earlier just means spending more time in traffic.

Isn't that the truth. It just gets worse and worse all the time. Its funny when people in other cities complain about their traffic. While they may have some bad traffic, its usually contained to an hour or so in the morning and evening. It never really ends here.
