Default about community college

I am going to move to silver lake soon,just wonder is there good community college around? I hope can transfer into a good university from there later.any clue is appreciated!

LA City College is probably the closest Los Angeles City College
I can't answer how good it is.
There are speciality schools (e.g. cooking) that offer AA degrees as well if you happen to have a specific interest.

Not sure where the community college in my area got the data, but on pages 21-26 of this document ALL the schools in California have the raw number of students that went on to a UC or CSU school from each community college. It doesn't have a rate.

In the 2005-2006 school year, Los Angeles City College sent 91 students to a University of California campus and 512 to a California State University campus.

thank you,missionhome,hmm,seems not so few during that year.I heard SMC or Mt San Antoni community college is really good,but seems a little bit far away from silver lake.i have to think over..
