Just wondering if there are short term lease options in L.A.? Miami has a law that no lease can be less than 7 months. Does la have that constraint? I'm looking to live near pasadena. Thanks

Some places have short term leases. Six months usually but there are a few places that offer shorter term. However, the shorter the term, the more the monthly rent. Try large complexes. Small buildings generally require a year lease.

Huh? What does that have to do with finding a short lease?

There are some temporary type places

Corporate Housing, Temporary Apartments, Government Lodging, Serviced Apartments and Extended Stay Housing | Oakwood Oakwood is one. Pretty sure they do less than 6mo.

Also you can try to sublet a place....how long are you looking to stay for? Lots of sublets on Craigslist.

Tons of places have short leases. It won't be an issue.
