Yep...west of main is much different then east of main! See, you gotta realize, a lot of these folks talking about cpt/watts/s.c have absolutely no clue! Obviously you and i have been through these areas and know...If you look at western/111th you would think you were in the beautiful suburbs, but looks are deceiving...that area is tightly held down by the rollin' 100s neighborhood crips...thats the thing with south central, looks do not determine the crime of a neighborhood...

I guess the thing is, are all gang members violent? If it's just a matter of wearing a common color of apparel to bring them together, I don't see what's wrong with that. Heck, it's not much different than our rednecks with their Buccaneers jerseys.

Calabasas is an upscale and nice suburban community. It is a bit far from the typical tourist attractions though on the other side of the hills and probably why it is a cheaper rate. Your drive back to the hotel every day will get old fast. How much are you looking to spend per night???

OK, I just now used google maps to check this neighborhood out using 'street view'; you're right, it LOOKS very pretty once you're back into the residential streets. So interesting...

Totally agree, i live in reseda and quite frankly dont see what it supposed to be so bad about it.....? LA on the whole feels almost sleepy to me.... i drove through compton last yr, no one was on the streets, the saddest thing about that area is how run down it is...
